Mass communication media is a social reality. We cannot imagine a society where meaningful and impactful intervention by mass communication media does not exist. It is true that mass communication media have come a long way since their inception. The most significant transformation is that it has now become a two-way process. Interaction between the groups receiving information and those providing it has increased and continues to grow. This was not possible in traditional mass communication.
In this research article, we are focusing on familiar print and electronic media. The article attempts to explore how the general public perceives mass communication media and how they are observed and understood within sociological thought. We are aware that various perspectives attempt to understand and interpret social reality according to their priorities. Their positive aspects, limitations, and the questions of their integration have always been significant. This article seeks to understand what possibilities exist in this direction.
The article is entirely based on secondary sources and does not discuss social media, which is a limitation of this research.
