Abstract

Harivansh Upapurana is universally recognized as Khil Parva of Mahabharata. This relationship of Harivansha with Mahabharata has been shown in the Purvasamparva at the beginning of Mahabharata. Two Parvas of this Purana - Harivamsa Parva and Vishnu Parva - are taken from the last two Parvas of Mahabharata. These two festivals have been called the supreme bloom. There are three festivals of this Purana - Harivansh Parva, Vishnu Parva and Bhavishya Parva.
