Abstract

Harivansh Upapurana is universally recognized as Khil Parva of Mahabharata. This relationship of Harivansha with Mahabharata has been shown in the Purvasamparva at the beginning of Mahabharata. Two Parvas of this Purana - Harivamsa Parva and Vishnu Parva - are taken from the last two Parvas of Mahabharata. These two festivals have been called the supreme bloom. There are three festivals of this Purana - Harivansh Parva, Vishnu Parva and Bhavishya Parva. There is a famous story about this Purana that when King Janmojaya heard the story of Mahabharata, he was not satisfied with it, then he heard the story of Harivansh Purana from Vaishampayana #NAME? and was completely satisfied. There are many anecdotes in this Purana, which get many types of knowledge after studying. In the Harivansh Uppurana, the world creation has been described in detail and mainly. The origin, development, human origin and its developmental things are described in this Purana in the context of creation. Those who are desirous of salvation do their desired desires in their hearts, all those desires are fulfilled only by reading and listening to the Puranas.
